Carlos Rodriguez Sandoval is a radio host, disc jockey, audio producer and label manager. He started as a drummer in Guadalajara during the 80's. From 1993 until 1997 he attended to Iteso University and focused in social media production. He also worked as video producer for IBMAT&TLucent Technologies and Philips before establishing Nopal Beat Records in 1999. Performing mainly as disc jockey and video jockey, he, Luis Flores and Sebastian Veytia ran Nopal Beat until 2006, since then Chas has been focusing in his solo career, releasing original material as Paravoice and Otis Pill. Chas also spent a few years designing educational courses and workshops for their own BeatLab Music Academy until they shut down all operations in 2016. During all this time, officially and unofficially, Chas has been helping people understand their instruments, the production process and the music industry, and has collaborated with non-profit organizations, universities and federal entities in Mexico and abroad. ///  馃寪 Carlos Rodr铆guez Sandoval es un locutor de radio, disc jockey, productor de audio y manager de editoriales fonogr谩ficos. Comenz贸 su carrera como baterista en Guadalajara durante la d茅cada de los a帽os 80. De 1993 a 1997 estudi贸 la carrera de Ciencias de la Comunicaci贸n en el ITESO. Poco despu茅s trabaj贸 como productor de multimedia para IBM, AT&T, Lucent Technologies y Philips antes de establecer Nopal Beat Records en 1999. Presentandose principalmente como disc jockey y video jockey en los escenarios, Chas junto a Luis Flores y poco despu茅s con Sebastian Veytia, juntos dirigieron Nopal Beat hasta 2006, cuando Chas comenz贸 carrera como solista como Paravoice y Otis Pill. Chas pas贸 varios a帽os como educador en Beat Lab Music Academy hasta el cierre de sus operaciones en 2016. Hasta este momento Chas ayuda a profesionales y entusiastas de las m煤sica a comprender y dominar tanto los instrumentos como las aplicaciones profesiones de audio. Ha colaborado con dependencias independientes, dependencias gubernamentales y universidades tanto en Mexico como en el extranjero.

In 2002, Nopal Beat Records released the DJ Sessions series, initially intended as an output for the disc jockey members. It featured a copy-protected CD compilation that included exclusive material from fellow artists. /// 馃寪 En 2002, Nopal Beat Records en conjunto con EMI publicaron la serie DJ Sessions, originalmente pensada como escaparate para los disc jockeys del colectivo. El disco originalmente en CD con copia contra pirater铆a inclu铆a material original de los artistas de Nopal Beat m谩s algunas otras producciones de algunos amigos productores de electr贸nica.

Paravoice started as an eccentric solo project prepared originally to share the Canadian Mutek Festival line up in 2006 with Ismael Torres, former Ultradeep member, as Paravoice + D-Bug, a live show totally based on improvisation. /// 馃寪 Paravoice en realidad es un proyecto que naci贸 expl铆citamente para el Festival Mutek de Canad谩, proyecto que se present贸 en vivo totalmente basado en improvisaci贸n en colaboraci贸n con Ismael Torres tambi茅n conocido como D-Bug, antiguo miembro de la banda Ultradeep.
