Associated Acts and Venues:


Ausencia De Color (1993-1994)
One of the first electronic oriented radio shows in Mexico, supported by Universidad de Guadalajara Radio. There were many people involved; Luis Flores, Sebastian Veytia, Cheto, Antonio Ulloa and many others.

Barra Libre (1995-1996)
It began as an university radio show that included ocassional collaborations with Luis Flores, Cheto, Venancio Almanza and Lucio Morales. Indie Rock, Alternative, Electronic weekend radio show. After a few months it became an underground cult show because of his very unique and selected audio content.

Nopal Beat Collective (1999-2006)
One afternoon we decided that we could participate in other projects' performances and then, the Nopal Beat Collective was born. It was comprised by Luis Flores, Jorge HM, Cesar Gudiño, Odin Parada, Memo Ramirez, Venancio Almanza, Ruben Miranda (Tovar) & Yuri Gonzalez (Fat Naked Lady, Azul Violeta).

Transmision (2000-2003)
One of the first purely electronic music oriente radio shows in Mexico; hosted by Juan Almeida, Luis Flores and Chas Rodriguez. It featured the latest electronic music releases and also included live interviews with visiting DJ as Halo Varga, Juan Atkins, Steve Loria, Jamie Thines, Felix Da Housecat and many more artists. It also featured great live dj sets.

Litio (1999-2005)
Chas briefly collaborated with long time friend Cheto in one of his Radio Universidad hosted shows, Litio, all about acid jazz and trip hop. He co-hosted the last show back in 2005.

Planta Baja (1998-2000)
An underground café that turned out to be the first official electronic club in town. It held infamous parties featuring David Alvarado, Jay Tripwire, Christopher Lawrence, Jon Lemmon, Rhythm Plate, Kevin Yost and many more.

Atlantic (1999-2001)
Based in Guadalajara, Atlantic became from being a regular café into an international social point, being the resident, Atlantic held collaborations from Juan Almeida, Javier Audirac, Cheto, Buscemi, Tim 'Love' Lee and Jazzanova between many others.

La Moresca (2000-2004)
Chas is the first DJ the now famous restaurant held. Playing every weekend at Lopez Cotilla, soon many other restaurants began featuring DJ and "Budda Bar" & "Costes" compilations.

Technogeist (2000)
During one of the first Technogeist sessions held in Mexico City, Chas was kicked out the event because he wasn't wearing the official badge while visiting the rest rooms, the rest of the collective had to perform without him until Sebastian Veytia, co manager, sorted the situation out.

Bar Americas (2000-2006)
Chas held residency at Americas for many years, many times playing from Thursdays till Saturdays. Listen on Spotify or Apple Music.

Moby (2002)
Chas and Jorge HM, both Nopal Beat Members, were the supporting act for the Moby "Play" tour, Chas replaced DJ Data, who broke her neck a few weeks before while falling backstage through an unlighted and unsecured floor hatch.

Osmosis (2003-2004)
Radio show featuring Juan Almeida & Chas. It featured long distance live interviews with other international DJs like Green Velvet, Jeff Mills, Johny Fiasco, Kenneth Graham and many others.

MTV 10 Años (2004)
Chas performed live alongside Crystal Method and Blur at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.

Union Fest (2005)
3 day long festival held in Mexico City had Chas in the main stage alongside Nortec Collective, Shaka Kran & Eric Morillo just to name a few.

Mutek (2006)
With a three day anticipation invitation to collaborate with prestigious Canadian Mutek festival, Chas and Ismal Torres (former Ultradeep member) came up with an improvised live show that was featured in the welcome night performance.

BEMF (2010)
Mexico was invited to participate in 2010 Belgium Electronic Music Festival held at the Beaux Artes in Brussels. Kumbia Korrupters, Sebastian Veitya, Drumcell and Chas headlined the electronic stage.
